Client: Regional Council Karlsruhe, created in 2019

In order to facilitate the communication of planned measures to reinforce the Rhine flood protection dyke (RHWD) XXXIX in Mannheim, mach:idee was commissioned to create a visual presentation of potentially unclear aspects of the planning.

Supplemented by drone flights, a digital terrain model (DTM), various detailed 3D models and several illustrations were created on the basis of the 2D planning data. The visualisation shows the most important focal points of the planned measure by means of a camera flight along the Rhine dyke.

The work was presented to interested citizens at a citizens’ information event in Mannheim on 23 September 2019.
